OOTD | Ankara Print

Ciao! Oh dearie, dearie me. Every once in a while I feel that I have to apologise for my blogging absence and lack of regular content. Today is one of those days but I promise I have a valid excuse. The last seven weeks has been quite hectic as I was working every day for six weeks. Yawn! I finally had some well-deserved time off last week, and to be completely honest, the last thing I wanted to do was blog. Instead, I spent my time socialising with friends and cuddling up in my pjs doing absolutely nothing. Complete and utter bliss lol :P

I am now back to working every day for the next few weeks as I started a new internship today. However, I want to ensure that I get back into the swing of blogging so have a short post for you lovely readers. I hope you enjoy it :)

Being of a mixed-race heritage and growing up with two completely different cultural backgrounds, I have always been fascinated by cultures. I think there's nothing more beautiful than experiencing and embracing the culture and traditions of another race. One culture other than my own that I truly admire and appreciate is the West-African one. It is rich in tradition and I have completely fallen in love with their way of life. Hardly surprising as quite a few of my friends are of a Ghanaian and Nigerian heritage so I've been massively exposed to their culture including their language, cuisine and attire.

Consequently, my fondness for African printed garments, also known as Ankara, has grown over the past two years so I was delighted to come across this dress in Primark. Yes! You certainly did read that correctly. Primark. Lol! :P Are any of you guys a fan of African prints? Xx

Ciao! ♥ Xx

Bloggers Love Fashion Week (#BLFW)

I haven't got the slightest doubt in saying that an introduction to Bloggers Love is hardly required as their recent event, Bloggers Love Fashion Week (#BLFW), was recently one of the most talked about topics within the blogging community. The three day event kick-started off with a pre-party on August 25th. Like the majority of their events, it was held at The Penthouse London in Leicester Square which has panoramic views that overlook the West End. Swanky ey?

This is what I wore to the pre-party :) Initially, I didn't have the faintest idea on what I was going to wear and literally chucked this on just before leaving mine. Quite surprising as I'm the type of lady who usually plans an outfit well in advance, especially for an event.

The main dates began on September 2nd which I was unable to attend due to work commitments. Wah :( I wasn't quite sure if I was going to make the second and last day but thankfully I did. Across the two days that I attended I met some lovely bloggers, ate far too many sweets and got my nails done by Roxanne Campbell who is an award-winning manicurist. I also receieved some products samples which I cannot wait to try out :)

Did any of you guys attend? If so, what did you most enjoy? Xx
